Teaching

Students as young as four years old are welcome, and I have enjoyed working with students into their eighties as well.  I have taken students through volumes 1-12 of the Suzuki Flute School repertoire series; these students enjoy a wide variety of supplementary repertoire in addition to the classical repertoire in the Suzuki volumes.  Students who have participated in RCM (Royal Conservatory of Music Toronto) exams have received an average mark of 87.5% and several have been awarded silver medals for the highest mark in the province.  Students have also participated in Kiwanis festivals, with a number receiving scholarships, and in youth orchestras.  Students who have won youth orchestra concerto competitions have performed Hue Fantaisie, Griffes Poem, and Cimarosa Concerto for two flutes.

I have taught workshops including the following:
-Suzuki Summer School in Cornwall (2010) and Malvern, England (2012)
-Winter Workshop at Music Institute of Chicago (2013)
-Festival Internacional de Musica Suzuki in Lima, Peru (2007-2017)
-Suzuki Autumn Festival in Melbourne, Australia (2010, 2011)
-European Suzuki Convention in Davos, Switzerland (2015)
-1er Encuentro de Profesores Suzuki de Mexico in Guanajuato, Mexico (2010)

as well as Suzuki summer institutes in Canada and abroad... please see Upcoming Events for workshops and concerts
